背景
[編輯]呢首國歌係喺 1993 年 6 月 21 日塞舌爾共和國憲法通過之後，經由一場比賽揀出嚟嘅。憲法規定咗要有國旗、國歌、國徽同國家格言。不過，憲法入面並冇具體提到邊首歌係國歌，因為國歌係由另一條法例去定嘅。[1]
呢首歌係由 David André 同 Georges Payet 為咗參賽而一齊創作嘅。根據帕耶特所講，首國歌用咗一日時間就寫好咗。[2]
喺創作期間，籌委會搵咗佢哋兩個，仲有第三個人 Antoine Azemia，建議佢哋三個合作整返首新歌，因為佢哋原本各自交上去嘅作品都有一啲評審想要嘅元素。後來阿澤米亞決定退出，剩返嗰兩個人就匿喺 La Plaine St. André 嘅一間舊屋仔入面，非常合拍咁將啲片段左拼右湊，最後得出而家呢個成果。[2]
首歌嘅編曲係由俄羅斯管弦樂專家兼樂隊指揮 Anatoli Savatinov 負責。[2]
《塞舌爾人，團結起嚟》係喺巴黎由法國共和國衛隊軍樂團進行首次錄音，安德烈當時仲有機會親自去到現場見證成個過程。[2]
首歌喺 1996 年 6 月 18 日嘅國慶日正式定為塞舌爾國歌。[2]
