豹屬包括四種著名嘅大型貓科動物：
- 獅 - Panthera leo (Linnaeus, 1758)：分佈於非洲同亞洲。
- 美洲豹 - Panthera onca (Linnaeus, 1758)：分佈於北美洲同南美洲。
- 豹 - Panthera pardus (Linnaeus, 1758)：分佈於非洲同亞洲。
- 虎 - Panthera tigris (Linnaeus, 1758)：分佈於亞洲。
同其他貓科動物比較，只有呢四種貓科動物有吼嘯嘅能力。
其他豹屬嘅大型貓科動物，重有：
- 雪豹 - Panthera uncia 或Uncia uncia (Linnaeus, 1775)
