佐治奧威爾（George Orwell，真名係Eric Arthur Blair， 1903年6月25號—1950年1月21號[1]），George Orwell 係佢個筆名，係英國作家，佢嘅作品充滿對社會唔公義嘅反省、極度唔妥極權主義、 寫嘢清楚嘅執着同深信民主社會主義[2]。
奧威爾「可能係 20世紀最出色記錄英語文化嘅人」 [3]，佢嘅作品有好多唔同嘅體裁（genre）當中包括小說、散文、挑戰式新聞學、文學評論、詩歌。最出名嘅作品就係諷刺小說《動物農場》同反烏托邦嘅《一九八四》。
