單側同雙側檢定（one- and two-tailed tests）係假說檢定上嘅一個概念：單側檢定（one-tailed test）指個假說講明咗 μ 2 {\displaystyle \mu _{2}} 處於 μ 1 {\displaystyle \mu _{1}} 邊一面，即係 μ 1 > μ 2 {\displaystyle \mu _{1}>\mu _{2}} 或者 μ 1 < μ 2 {\displaystyle \mu _{1}<\mu _{2}} ，而雙側檢定（two-tailed tests）指個假說冇講明 μ 2 {\displaystyle \mu _{2}} 處於 μ 1 {\displaystyle \mu _{1}} 邊一面，即係單純嘅 μ 1 ≠ μ 2 {\displaystyle \mu _{1}\neq \mu _{2}} 。
