利維．蘭斯洛．戈達（1905-1972）係巴巴多斯嘅新思想作家兼神秘主義者，專門寫關於聖經嘅神秘主義，被認為係新紀元思維嘅先驅之一。[1]
生平[編輯]
戈達喺1905年2月19號喺巴巴多斯出世，佢嘅父母係約瑟夫同威廉米娜．戈達。 1922年左右,佢移民到紐約市,喺嗰度佢一開始做過芭蕾舞同舞廳舞者。[1]
1931年，他開始在一位名叫阿卜杜拉的埃塞俄比亞拉比的指引下，學習卡巴拉和其他聖經神秘主義。在第二次世界大戰時，他在美國軍隊中服役十三周，成功入籍美國。[1]
戈達之前係一個舞者，喺某種程度上，亦係一個演員。 他在《意識乃唯一現實》中說：「十年來，我一直係一個舞者，喺百老滙表演，又去歐洲巡迴演出。」 1950年代初，佢開始喺市政廳就宗教主題講授。[1] 1954年，據報導，他正在籌備一個「形而上學的影視節目」，但尚不清楚該項目是否成功。[2]
戈達德於1972年10月1號去世，享年67歲，因為腦動脈瘤。 佢喺洛杉磯住咗大約20年。佢喺巴巴多斯嘅聖米迦勒嘅西伯里公墓埋葬。[3]
思想[編輯]
戈達將聖經視為人類心理的比喻，而唔係歷史事件的記錄。換言之，聖經係一本開發個人力量的指南。 因此，戈達唔相信一個回答禱告的外部上帝，而是相信「你就係創造者。」[4]
戈達嘅思想通常被認為係類似於唯心論同非二元主義，特別係考慮到佢經常話「每個人都係你內心嘅投射」，暗指世間所有人都係一體。 戈達認為,通過這種「真相」，我哋可以通過「假設願望己成的滿足感覺」來創造自己的現實。因此，咁就誕生咗「假設定律」呢個術語。
戈達亦相信死亡係一種錯覺，並認為人一旦「死」，就將會「恢復」喺另一世嘅同一個生活中，以類似於尼采版本嘅「永恆轉世」概念，直到佢哋經歷過啟蒙，意識到自己就係上帝。呢個概念佢稱之為「神的承諾」。
