極地漩渦（英文：Polar Vortex），係一種發生喺極地嘅，喺對流層同平流層之間嘅中、上部嘅，持續性同大規模嘅氣旋。呢種渦旋喺極夜嘅時候最大，因為呢個時候嘅温度梯度係最大，但持續縮減，到夏天甚至會消失。

記載歷史[編輯]

最早記載極地渦旋現象嘅文獻喺1853年出現[1]。喺北半球嘅冬季，呢種現象會導致突然性平流層暖化（英文：stratospheric warming）[2]。
