呢篇文講地球嘅金星凌日。搵緊第啲行星嘅金星凌日嘅話，請睇〈金星凌日 (搞清楚)〉。
金星凌日係指太陽同地球之間嘅行星金星直接喺太陽前面掠過，成為太陽表面嘅可見暗斑（並遮咗一小部分太陽對地輻射）嘅天文現象。凌日發生嗰時，由地球可以見到金星係喺太陽表面郁嘅一個黑色暗斑，時間通常斷鐘計。
凌日同月球造成嘅日食類似。雖然金星直徑幾乎係月球4倍，但因為佢離地球比月球更遠，並且通過太陽前面嘅速度亦慢過月球，所以金星喺太陽前掠過嘅形狀更細、速度更慢。通過觀察金星凌日，科學家可以利用視差原理計算太陽同地球之間嘅距離。
金星凌日罕見但預測得到。佢哋以243年嘅週期重複相同嘅模式。金星凌日發生嘅模式係「成雙成對」，相鄰嘅「一對」金星凌日之間相隔8年，而唔同嘅「兩對」之間就隔咗超過100年。呢種週期性反映出地球同金星公轉週期嘅8:13同243:395軌道共振嘅事實[1][2]。
觀測金星凌日，要用同觀測日偏食同日環食類似嘅護眼措施，唔係會好傷眼。
