黑枕麥雞（Vanellus armatus）係非洲特有嘅雀，分布喺安哥拉、坦桑尼亞中部、肯雅中南部同埋南非（納米比亞西岸除外）。佢嘅土名係嚟自佢哋嗰種類似金屬嘅警告聲「tink, tink, tink」，好似用打鐵佬錘仔鐵咁嘅聲。

行為

佢哋主要喺春天繁殖。同其他水鳥住喺濕地度。主要食水生無脊椎動物。

養殖

香港動植物公園而家有養。
