I am not sure that 『係第一種人類喺太空發現嘅原素』is same as 『係第一種人類喺太空先過地球發現嘅原素』, since the definite of 發現 is very much involved here. The element has been disovered on Earth when you considered that on Earth, people can actually touch/manpulate the element. In space, people can only intrepret the data to say it is there, Can we say it is a discovery, I don't know.--WikiCantona 2007年8月18號 (六) 04:49 (UTC)[回覆]

The element has been disovered on Earth when you considered that on Earth, people can actually touch/manpulate the element."
  • en:helium

Evidence of helium was first detected on August 18, 1868 as a bright yellow line with a wavelength of 587.49 nanometres in the spectrum of the chromosphere of the Sun, by French astronomer Pierre Janssen during a total solar eclipse in Guntur, India. This line was initially assumed to be sodium.

Nobody knew helium existed. It was first discovered in the sun. DISCOVERED in its fullest sense.* -- :-) Hillgentleman | |
  • NOte also that the periodic table was first put forward in 1869.* -- :-) Hillgentleman | |
  • "According to the En.wiki, it is mined somewhere only in US" <--- I cannot tell where you got this. Helium is said to come from natural gas fields.* -- :-) Hillgentleman | | 二零零七年八月十八號(星期六)格林尼治 05點54分37秒。
  • I don't know if it is reasonable to say to "mine" a natural gas field. Still I don't know the equivalence concept of 「發現」in Cantonese. 「搵到」or 「搵倒」 is the close I come up with --WikiCantona 2007年8月18號 (六) 09:37 (UTC)[回覆]
  • Yes, we can mine a gas field. There is no alternative. Liquid or solid helium cannot be found on EArth naturally.
