吸附物理現象一種,話物體表面流體濃度會增加[1]。無論氣體液體、定固體咗,佢哋啲原子離子分子住物體表面[2][3]。個現象同吸收唔同,吸收會穿過表面[4],而吸附就唔穿唔過,祗停喺表面。不過,吸收之前,好多時會吸附咗先。

表面張力一樣,都係表面能作怪。物料表面,當中原子同原子之間,鍵能完全滿足,就唔會有吸附。然而,一但唔能滿足,就會吸引其他啲。祇爭少少能量,就有物理吸附,一般祇涉及范德華力,會容易啲甩。爭得多,就有化學吸附,會生成共價鍵,就好難甩。亦有話靜電吸引[5][6]催化劑活性炭之類,就同吸附有關。
